Yukon, deal #26
gentleThis Yukon deal is rated gentle: one of the easier deals in this series. The solver found a winning line of 41 moves.
Notes on this deal
- 1 Ace lies uncovered at the end of a column, ready to go home with your first move.
- 3 Aces sit deep in their columns. The worst is in column 6, with 6 cards on top of it.
- A King already sits at the head of a column, so that column never needs emptying.
- 2 Kings are face down. Buried Kings can only leave for an empty column; plan for the space they will need.
- Playing without a plan stalls early here: a test play of the most promising moves gets only 5 of 52 cards home.
- 10 useful moves are open from the start. Prefer the ones that turn over a card or free an Ace.

Yukon in a nutshell
There is no stock. Build the foundations by suit and the columns down in alternating colours; any face-up card moves with everything on top of it. Only Kings go into empty columns.
